2011 WCSJ – Your Insights from Africa

For those of you who were lucky enough to attend the World Conference of Science Journalists 2011, we would love to know what presentations/discussions you found most interesting and most relevant to Africa. It would also be great to know if you thought that there were important issues missing from the agenda and from the discussions.

Soul Beat Africa has created a space within the Science and Media Forum for you to share your experiences and for others, who did not attend, to respond and give their input as well. Please participate in this forum as this could help contribute to the planning of science and media events in the future.

Some tips: To add a comment into this Group just click "Add Topic" which you will see in the top right corner. Give your submission a title and under "Project" chose "2011 WCSJ – Your Insights from Africa". Insert your comment into the Body of the form and click save. Note, you can also attach a document into your comment. For example, if you gave a presentation at the conference, you can post it here. Otherwise, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at aventh@comminit.com

World Conference of Science Journalists in Doha Report

Hi to the Science and Media network, As you may be aware, the World Conference of Science Journalists in Doha Report is available online here http://www.wfsj.org/news/news.php?id=263 It concentrates very much on the logistics of the conference and not so much on the content of the discussions and the outcomes. We would therefore love to hear from you what presentations/discussions you found useful, whether there was too much or too little focus on certain topics around science journalism, and generally what you took away from the conference.
Tip: To add a comment, follow the "read more" link in the email, click on "Add new comment" below this entry, fill in the Subject and Comment fields and click Save.
