Session: Strengthening Practical Skills for Program Design and Impact: Making Theories and Data Work for You!

hace 9 years 31 weeks

Moderators: Douglas Storey and P.N. Vasanti

One of the most challenging aspects of EE work is effectively translating data and theory into creative programmatic insights, both during program design and program evaluation. In this session, participants will practice using theoretical frameworks and M&E options in a practical way to design effective EE programs and to verify how and why impact happens. Participants will practice identifying theoretical constructs in examples of EE programs and discuss innovative and cost-effective ways to collect theory-based data.

They will then work in groups to identify the types and sources of data a project needs in order to (1) design a theoretically informed AND creative story and (2) measure how the story elements changed behaviours.
