Hi - as someone who is part of the Soul Beat/UNESCO Science Journalism network this is a reminder of the Open Access Africa 2011 Conference taking place in Kumasi, Ghana in October.

Open Access Africa 2011 Conference is part of a collection of initiatives designed to increase the output and visibility of scientific research published by African learning institutes. The conference will discuss the benefits of open access publishing in an African context.
