I'm a journalist. I worked for 9 years in the women's polical magazine "noidonne", in Italy (1992-1999). Then I joined the staff of the Ministry for Equal Opportunities as assistant to the Foreign Policy Councillor, managing the Beijing+5 and the Copenhagen+5 UN process and other human rights areas. Between 2000 and 2012 I worked for AIDOS, the Italian Association for Women in Development, mainly in projects addressing female genital mutilation/cutting, sexual and reproductive health and the human rights of women. I designed several of AIDOS advocacy and communication campaigns. In 2012 I left AIDOS and joined the Grandmother Project, a small US and Senegal based organisation aimed at promoting social change and development through community participation, positive cultural dynamics, and the involvement of grandmothers.
