I am a Gambian by nationality and 23 years of age. I have just completed a four year first degree program at the University of The Gambia with a major in development Studies and a Minor in Sociology. Prior to this, I attended Somita Upper Basic School where in 2003 I earned The Gambia Basic Education certificate Examination, and later Nusrat Senior Secondary School where in 2006 I sat to the West Africa Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination. All these aforesaid schools are in The Gambia, West Africa.
I currently work as a news editor with the Daily Observer newspaper, the leading Banjul based newspaper in my home country, and Secretary General of The Gambia Press Union, the umbrella journalist organisation in the country. I have also worked with a series of youth organizations particularly in the field of promoting governance and development and grassroots development.
